‘Perfect 10’ Represent Pershore High at County Athletics

As a result of District level qualification, Pershore High School had ten students selected to represent a South Worcestershire team at the County Athletics Championships taking place at Nunnery Wood in Worcester.

It was a day to be proud to wear the Pershore High School Badge as all competitors displayed an amazing level of effort, commitment and resilience in their individual events to fight for every place against what has to be said the counties elite. To take ten representatives was an outstanding achievement in its self but a special mention goes out to Ned Harvey and Callum Brassington-Meehan who did exceptionally well qualifying for the 100m final. Jasmine Franks who finished 4th in the 800m final and to Gab Bruce who was the only medallist of the day picking up a bronze for her part in the 4x100m relay final.

It was a great day for the Year 8 students and whilst the success of today must be celebrated, attention should now be turned to how they are going to go one better next time out.
