On their last meeting of the year, Pershore High School’s Interact group were delighted to hand over a cheque for £300 to Ben Andrews and his son Callum from the Worcester Deaf Children’s Society. The WDCS are a local charity who organise events and provide support for Worcestershire young people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Ben and Callum (who is also a current Pershore student) spent some time talking to members of the Interact group about the charity, the young people it helps and the events that it organises. The money raised will go towards a future WDCS event that will be decided sometime in the near future. A big thank you to all students, staff and members of the local community who have helped with Interact this year. It has been our most successful yet and everyone takes such joy in knowing that the money raised will go to a worthy local charity.
