The 113 students entered for Advanced level (A2) examinations this summer have hit again the heights, with an A to E rate of 99.5%. 72% of results were obtained at grade C or higher, with 44% at A*, A or a B, and 20% of entries at grades A* and A.
Amongst the many student successes, exceptional individual achievements include: Isaac Chidlow (3A* 1A), Harriet Lovegrove (2A*, 1A), James Coleman (2A*, 1B), and Katie-Mail Lambert (2A*, 1B). Other excellent individual achievements, amongst many others of note: Phoebe Smith (1A*, 1A, 1B, 1C), Megan Williams (1A*, 1A, 1B), Holly Lawley (1A*, 2B), Tom Kenwright (3A), Dylan Freckelton (2 A, 1B), Evie Banks, Jack Comerford, George Creese, Rachel Day, Rhiannon Hornett, Harvey Little, Angus McIvor, Luke Parsons, George Potham, Harriet Wilson (all 2A, 1B), Olivia Hill (2A, 1C), Rhiannon Cordiner, Mollie Cresswell, Jack Harley, Olivia Lea, Phoebe Lole and Lauren Vick (all 1A, 2B).
Future university courses and destinations of our splendid students now include: Medicine at Bristol, Physics at Bath, Architecture at Oxford Brookes, Psychology at Exeter, Accounting and Business at Reading, Graphic Design at Edinburgh, English at Birmingham, Accounting and Finance at Newcastle, Primary Teaching at Worcester and Computer and Cyber Forensics at Gloucestershire.
Headteacher, Clive Corbett, congratulated all students on the dedication and commitment that has enabled them to achieve such pleasing results. He also thanked the Sixth Form team of Jason Howell, Zoe Starkey, Jo McKenzie and all other staff for contributing to this outstanding level of student performance. He said; "It is gratifying to see young people reap the rewards of their hard work. A’ level examinations provide an increasingly rigorous challenge and success is not easily achieved. I would like to offer all of our students my best wishes in their future endeavours."
