Pershore High School’s STEM club members (in Year 8) were recently invited to participate in the annual QinetiQ STEM day at their site in Malvern. They spent the day in a series of demonstrations and practical group activities and were judged against other local schools. They designed a colour app, used Raspberry Pi computers, to simulate astronauts in space and navigated Lego robots around a course. The day gave them a fantastic insight into working in Scientific and Engineering careers and the STEM club worked brilliantly as a team. They won the competition against the other schools and were praised for being the best school for working in teams and problem solving. Miss Troop and Mrs Griffin accompanied the trip.
