Year 10 badminton success

Our Year 10 girls recently competed in a Badminton tournament against many different schools across Worcester. As a team consisting of: Emma Brown, Cassidy Matheson, Emily Patterson, Heather Titterton and Alice Patterson, we were able to win the District competition which occurred around the end of January.  After winning this we went on to attend the County tournament against other District winners from across Worcestershire. We were all extremely nervous and were excited to see the competition.  When we finally arrived we were told that each school would play an array of matches against two schools, and whoever would win that would go into the finals. Unfortunately, we were the only non-private school against TWO other private schools and after a lot of amazing games the result was we won against Malvern St James but lost by just 3 games to Bromsgrove. The competition in our section was very high and overall came out with 2nd in our group. We were very pleased to have beaten Malvern St James and give Bromsgrove a good game and are looking forward to attending County Badminton again next year. From Alice Patterson.
